- I write fiction and poetry and sometimes poetry within the fiction but not always, fiction, not always within the poetry. Currently, I have three ongoing series: (1) The Story of Kyra, an exploration of love; (2) 1944, The Story of Mary, an exploration of grief from the loss of love; and (3) the KKB series, a medieval epic rendered in lyric verse. Very nice pictures, everyone looks like they know exactly what they are doing, in other words the Bulldogs look like a force to be reckoned with. :-)

Sunshine, I am blown away he is playing and enjoying it and I'm thrilled for him to get the experience and exercise and for me to have an opportunity to take photos. So, so far, we are happy campers. :-D
Mona, I've spent the last 20+ summers in this area and it has never been this hot and this dry this long. Normally, that grass would be green. The good news is I've had to mow my lawn less this summer than ever before. If fact, I can't even remember when I mowed it last and in a normal summer, one would be mowing once a week.
The uniforms do look good, I'll admit. When I was his age, everyone had plain white helmets and white pants and I mean everyone as in all teams. The other thing that really struck me was the weight of the helmets. I'd say his helmet weights at least twice as much, if not more, than the one I wore, and it's not because his is bigger. These helmets are built much more like motorcycle helmets and feel about as heavy. Good protection but I would think that weight would also make it more of a weapon. I suppose most everything is compromise.
